Industrial Aftermarket Sales


We are seeking an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial candidate that will provide critical support for Komline-Sanderson’s customers by identifying necessary parts to resolve issues with our complex equipment in the field. The Industrial Aftermarket Salesperson will be required to build rapport with Komline-Sanderson’s customers and to promote sales of aftermarket parts and kits as appropriate to provide the highest quality customer service.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  1. Work with customer to provide assistance in part replacement by diagnosing the client’s problem and sell replacement parts to solve the problem via phone, fax, e-mail.

  2. Read mechanical drawings to determine the correct replacement part numbers

  3. Discuss the use and features of various parts based on knowledge of our equipment

  4. Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available

  5. Provide quotation with accurate price and delivery

  6. Expedite customer orders once placed

  7. Prepare commercial documents for international orders

  8. Purchase non-stock replacement parts

  9. Maintain customer job files

  10. Promote sales of aftermarket parts and services through email and/or telemarketing campaigns in various markets

  11. Perform order entry and other computer/office functions

  12. Performs other duties as required by the department

Desired Skills and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience

  2. Two or more years’ experience in an aftermarket sales environment

  3. Be able to explain function of parts in relationship to use on our equipment

  4. Possess good mechanical skills and be proficient at reading mechanical drawings

  5. Be familiar with machinery and equipment, pumps, motors, transmission parts, gear reducers

  6. Experience with CRM and ERP systems

  7. Highly organized and able to work within rigid time constraints with a superb attention to detail

  8. Experience with manufacturing processes, parts expediting and factory environments

  9. Desire to be a part of an entrepreneurial, energetic team and handle a wide range of responsibilities
